“neil josten is demisexual!!!!” says nothing about who he’s attracted to. the text clearly implies that he’s bi or pan OR gay due to trauma, both readings are valid; he was attracted to girls until his mother’s abuse affected him. he says he doesn’t swing, that the only person he cares about is andrew, which implies that neil feels attraction to the person regardless of gender, so he is most likely demi-pansexual (but again, bi and gay hc’s are both valid). 

anyways the way the author & text and the fandom treats neil’s sexuality, saying he’s ~~just demisexual~~, is bi/panphobic as fuck (even tho the way they use to describe his sexuality is…. literally the definition of bi/pansexuality but ofc we can never actually use those bad ugly words!) goodbye
