Pearl and Lapis move to the countryside and live in a cottage together. they watch the sun set over a nearby lake every evening. Pearl takes up embroidery. Lapis thinks it’s a waste of time, but loves to watch Pearl at work anyway. The first few years is full of emotional conversations (and a few songs). As the years go by, they talk less and less about their pasts and learn to be content in the moment with each other.
